      It looks like FusionAuth uses the last used MFA method as default for the next sign in. So, if I chose TOTP and use the code, the next time I sign in I don't have to make a MFA choice and go directly to the TOTP page. Same goes for Text Message. The way we use MFA is that TOTP is the main choice and text messages are a backup. I don't want users to use text messages as the default MFA method, it costs us money. Is there a way to assign a specific MFA as the default or first choice?

        Unfortunately in this case, I believe this is the current expected behavior for the MFA workflow.

        If you have a specific use case that necessitates changes to this, please feel free to log a feature request with all the details and any other considerations 🙂 👍
